Starter set 29849. The 25
class 4000 locomotives are viewed as the largest steam locomotives in the world
built in a group. The nickname "Big Boy", which is also used officially for
these locomotives, sounds rather modest. These giants are about 40 meters / 131
feet long and produced over 6,200 horsepower with four immense cylinders. As
expected, the background of sound that accompanied such a monster was
particularly impressive. With the new sound effects circuit, this H0 model
produces the typical sound of the great steam locomotives in operation as well
as a selection of auxiliary sound effects, which can be activated individually.
The full range of acoustic functions is available, when you operate the
locomotive with the Central Station from the Märklin Systems program.
