Model: Era II, In impressive new Trix technology: • Die-cast metal housing and truck • Can motor with two flywheels • Digital connector • Coupler pockets for close coupler 4 powered axles, 2 traction tires, lighting with LEDs, white/red light change. Cars with coupler pockets for close coupler. Length of the train: 580 mm / 22-27/32”.

This model will be manufactured only in 2005 as a one-time series.

When the German national railroads were merged into the German Reich in the year 1920, the Free State of Bavaria, after lengthy negotiations, received a special status for the railroad system of its service area: the independent “Bavarian Group Administration”. For example, the Bavarian signaling system continued to be valid and there were no restrictions imposed on the acquisition of railroad vehicles especially for the requirements of the Free State. Also, the visual appearance, i.e. the paint and the lettering on the locomotives and cars, was a display of autonomy, since it generally differed from that used in the remaining territory of the Reich. The special privileges with respect to colors and lettering ended around 1927, however, and other exceptions were successively eliminated by 1933, being eradicated by law in 1937 with the dissolution of the German State Railroad Company and the creation of the German Reichsbahn. As compensation for the loss of the special status, Bavaria received the Reichsbahn central office in Munich, which was responsible for procurement of electric locomotives for the entire territory of the German Reich.
