At the 1st 1/10 GP Touring World Championships held in Brazil in October 2004, the FW-05RR overcame the disadvantage of its one-car strategy to finish near the top of every race heat. Even with a bitter end to the race due to the unfortunate collision with another car, the amazing speed of the FW-05RR was the focus of the world’s top drivers. Sections of this machine are shared with the V-ONE RRR, the eventual winner of the World Championship. Uses the same front knuckles as the V-ONE RRR. Kingpin angle has been changed to 0 degrees from 2 degrees. Results in improved rigidity of the steering arm and optimal Ackerman.

Modified design of front upper suspension mount. Achieves lower center of gravity and increased front/rear and side rigidity. Modified upper deck realizes increased support for harder suspension.

Uses same rear hubs as the World Championship dominating V-ONE RRR. Precision adjustment of upper arm pivot is possible. Realizes smaller roll axis and smoother return.

Rear suspension arm on the chassis side has been changed to harder single-side supported shaft. Realizes reliable axis rotation and smoother suspension stroke.

New upper deck delivers increased rigidity in suspension support. Reflects subtle response to setting changes and realizes the suspension’s full potential.
