Fitted with a 250 cm³ motorcycle engine, the BMW Isetta achieved a top speed of 85 km/h and more than 160,000 of them were produced in the period 1955 to 1962. Owing to its egg-like shape, the Isetta is still known as a „bubble“ car today and was still used by some police departments as a manoeuvrable police car until the 1960s.
